About the artist
The artist
Based on Waiheke Island, New Zealand, Ara creates romantic botanical and coastal artworks inspired by the natural world.
Blending Art Nouveau influences with contemporary digital artistry, her work explores the harmony between feminine forms, native flora and the landscapes of Aotearoa, an ode to the beauty and simplicity of island life.
The creative process
Each composition begins with an exploration of colour, form and the landscapes that inspire it. Using AI-assisted image generation under Ara's artistic direction, the artworks are developed and refined to create a considered balance of detail and atmosphere.
The finished pieces are professionally reproduced in Auckland using archival pigment inks on softly textured fine art paper.
